QADRI FOUNDRY (PVT) LTD
Incorporated in 1987, this company is located in the Sindh Industrial Trading Estate, which is
Pakistan’s largest industrial area, located in the port-city of Karachi. The company can be rightly
termed as the bearer of the branch of the family business which was setup in Karachi in 1949.
The company runs foundry-works focused on the manufacture of medium and small cast iron, spheriodal
graphite iron and non-ferrous castings of a maximum weight of 2500 kgs. The company has the capacity
to deliver 1500 tons of castings per year.
Although the production plan is focused on medium and small sized castings, the Foundry-shop can be
classified as a jobbing-type …. this being the company’s forte considering that it caters to the
maintenance spares needs of the large number of industrial units located in the industrial estate.
Therefore, the molding methods used are predominantly semi-mechanized facilitated by the use of
pneumatic and mechanical equipment and foundry aids.
Attached to the foundry-shop is a metallurgical testing laboratory, well equipped to carry out
wet analysis of samples.
