Incorporated in 2006 and led and inspired by Kashif Qadri, the family’s gifted son who left for
his heavenly abode soon thereafter, this young company has setup a heavy iron & steel foundry at
the modern Sundar Industrial Estate in the suburbs of Lahore. It is one of the first projects
to have become operational in the SIE ….. and that within a record time of 1 year.
The foundry-works has an annual capacity to produce 12000 tons of medium and large castings.
The range of cast materials includes grey iron, ductile iron, other alloy cast irons and
non-ferrous metals including a full range of bronzes.
The Melting Shop is equipped with coke-fired Cupola Furnaces and Medium Frequency El.
Induction Furnaces. The Cupola Furnaces have the capacity to deliver 60000 kgs of molten
metal for a single pour. The foundry-works can produce gravity-poured castings ranging
15 ~ 50000 kgs per piece. Suitable heat treatment facilities are in place.
Being a jobbing-type foundry focused on the production of medium & large-size castings,
the mould-making methods used are predominantly semi-mechanized, facilitated by the use
of pneumatic and mechanical equipment and foundry aids. Attached to the foundry-shop is a
metallurgical testing laboratory equipped with a full range of equipment for wet-analysis
of samples.
Midterm plans include the setting up of VOD, LRF and ESR facilities for production of
special grades of steel. As in the case of the other manufacturing setups within the
Group-companies, this company also attaches high priority to the acquiring of new
technology & skills as well as quality inputs, to enable it to deliver the best value to its customers.
