QADRI BROTHER (PVT) LTD
Being the torch bearer of the family business and the first of the Group-companies to embrace a
corporate status in 1981, QBL may rightly be called our parent company.
Located at the very entry point to the Badami Bagh Industrial Area, just outside the walled
city of old Lahore, the company runs a steel foundry with an annual capacity to produce 6000
tons of medium and heavy steel castings. The range of cast materials includes a wide range of
plain carbon steels, alloy steels and stainless steels.
The three Melting Shops are equipped with Medium Frequency and Mains Frequency Electric
Induction Furnaces capable of delivering 35000 kgs molten metal for a single pour.
The Foundry-shop can produce gravity-poured castings within the range of 15 ~ 30000 kgs
cast weight. Heat treatment facilities are in place to match the weight & dimensions of
the cast parts.
Being a jobbing-type foundry focused on the production of medium & large-size castings,
the mould-making methods used are predominantly semi-mechanized facilitated by the use of
pneumatic and mechanical equipment and foundry aids.
The Foundry-shop is also suitably equipped with a Pattern-making facility for in-house design
and manufacture of wooden & metallic patterns.
Attached to the Melt-shops is a chemical & physical testing laboratory equipped with state
of the art Emission Spectrometer SPECTRO MAX FBTV, Ultrasonic Flaw Detectors KRAUTKRAMAR USK
7S and USM 25 and the full range of testing equipment for wet-analysis of metal samples.
With an effective Quality Policy in place, the company attaches high priority to acquiring
new technology & skills as well as quality inputs for an ongoing improvement of the quality
of its products.
